About Mike
Mike is a lifelong multi-sport athlete who understands what it takes to compete at the highest level. A former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback who also played at the University of South Florida, he's spent decades immersed in collegiate athletics—both as a player and now as a coach and mentor. Currently a high school track coach, Mike has helped numerous athletes secure Division I scholarships across multiple sports, including softball.
Together with his wife Karin—a three-time NCAA National Champion and 11-time All-American gymnast at Georgia—the Usry family brings unmatched perspective on elite collegiate athletics. Their connections span coaching staffs across multiple sports and divisions, giving Stars National Walker players direct access to a network built over decades. Mike is committed to finding the right fit—athletically, academically, and culturally—for every player.
